The "gorgeous nymph" is a fountain designed by Biondi in the 19th century, located in piazza 19 marzo. The monument had been restored after the damages during World War I. The fountain shows a Roman deity holding an olive branch and standing on a human figure that represents the malaria, once spread in the surroundings. The statues are set on a huge grotto basement.
Caetani Palace
The old Palazzo Caetani was originally built in the Middle Ages serving as a castle; it was lately turned into a stately home where the Popes could lodge during their trips to Rome. The palazzo was bombed during the World War II and partially rebuilt to house the Civic library.
Assumption of Virgin Mary Collegiate
The church was rebuilt after the great damages suffered during the World War II. It features three naives and a precious bronze door moulded by the renowned artist Biancini who also sculpted other ironworks that are stored inside the building.
